F(l)ight is a series of 30 generative NFTs paired with plotter drawings, created for the Feral File group exhibition, -GRAPH, curated by Casey Reas.

This work focuses on the translation from nature to drawing, and from drawing to algorithm, and the complex relationship between those objects and representations.

Each of the plotter drawings took between 30 minutes and 6 hours to complete resulting in unique textures and flaws, an inevitable result of working with the physical medium.

The Series

F(l)ight was sold as an NFT, but the first collector of each edition received a corresponding plotter drawing shipped directly from our studio. The drawings are 16 × 20 inches (40.6 × 50.8 cm) on cream Stonehenge paper, drawn with a black archival ink pen.

I also recommend viewing the other works by Aleksandra Jovanić, James Merrill, Iskra Velitchkova, Julien Gachadoat, and Licia He in the -GRAPH collection here.
