Music is a special part of life for me. Over the years, Iíve learned to play several instruments, and I spend a fair bit of time analyzing and enjoying music. A lot of how I think about visual artwork is related to how I think about music. It is important to have rhythm. The harmony between different elements should be picked carefully (either to cheerfully mix or to purposefully clash). Dynamics are crucial: not everything should be the same volume, quiet details can help complete a work. The list goes on.

With FESTIVAL NOTES, I think the spirit of this musical way of thinking about visual artwork came through in a clear way. I can almost hear it, and imagine the environment where that music plays.
