Like all of the works my first solo exhibition, Progress, this piece was focused on two things. First, it needed to be balanced perfectly between human influence and computer influence. Second, in order to achieve the first goal, it was created entirely through a recursive triangle subdivision algorithm.

The four iterations from Progress 5 give me a feeling of something both geologic and digital. They are both sunbleached and digitally decaying. There is room for overlap in our world where both of these things can be connected somehow.
