 explores the brain's processing of sensory input, the immense amount of visual data received by the brain, and how it's managed by the visual cortex.

Despite the chaotic nature of visual input, the brain adeptly organizes and associates it with existing concepts and patterns. Through this series, Hobbs shows how the brain can quickly recognize general patterns amidst a vast volume of visual information. Even subtle shifts in color probabilities are instantly perceived as gradients with distinct center points.
