Corporate Headquarters Atrium

Tyler’s work often finds itself at the cross-section of nature and technology. When a corporate client commissioned a series of interior installations for their Texas headquarters,  the prompt of “modern ranch” was easy inspiration.

In these works, you’ll find references to the vast landscapes of West Texas and its unique geographic features and the colors and patterns of traditional weavings. All of these are brought into today’s technologically-focused world through algorithmic processes and structure.

ITASCA

This piece was inspired by the regional textile arts, which actually share a close link with the earliest “computers”, the Jacquard loom. The introduction of glitchy features bridges the gap between that early machinery and 21st-century computation.

ITASCA - 34 ft x 10 ft (10m x 3m)

AGNES

Agnes references the sprawling landscapes of West Texas, where the expansive horizon draws you in, and the air and land shift through striking colors as the sun completes its trip through the day.

AGNES - 34 ft x 10 ft (10m x 3m)

ANNETTA

This piece is inspired by the patterns in the rocks and geographic strata that can be observed in the Big Bend region.

ANNETTA - 34 ft x 12 ft (10m x 3.7m)

TALPA

TALPA was inspired by the colors found in villages in Southwest Texas, close to the border. It is the scattered vision of a town and landscape taken in all at once, mixed with the rhythms and patterns of the urban art found in Texas’ large cities

TALPA - 32 ft x 10 ft (10m x 3m)

ELEVATOR Interiors

Inside each elevator, is a warm and tranquil piece that plays off the verticle momentum.
